I would also like to thank @docsamantha.bsky.social and the editorial team at @healthpromint.bsky.social for their invaluable help throughout the review process. 🔗 doi.org/10.1093/heap... #HealthPromotion #ImplementationScience #CoCreation #Schools #Sustainability #HPS
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the co-authors, Maïté Verloigne, Lena Lhuisset, José A. Julián Clemente, Julien Bois, Javier Zaragoza & Sonia Asún Dieste, for their close collaboration throughout the process.
Why it matters?: Moving beyond short-term wins, we show how participatory processes—co-adapting core components and tapering external support—can be messy at the beginning but allow to make school health promotion stick in busy, complex systems.
The result? High-fidelity, school-led delivery, formal institutionalisation (planning documents and implementation agreements); stronger conditions for long-term #Sustainability —with a candid look at real-world challenges (coordination time, turnover, training, family engagement).
Over three years, we tailored the Sigue la Huella programme to the host school’s routines and progressively shifted leadership from the research team to school staff (and relevant policymakers).
I'm thrilled to announce that our new paper is out! 😊 (nice pre-holiday present) As part of my PhD and thanks to the amazing time I had at the Health Promotion UGent, in this study we worked together to develop a process evaluation of our #PhysicalActivity promotion intervention.
The thesis document is available here! zaguan.unizar.es/record/163978 If you have any comments, doubts or something like that you can contact me directly. I'd love to hear from others working in the field !
Thanks also to my examiners Jorge Lizandra Mora, Maria José Camacho Miñano, Gwendolijn Boonekamp. Article links (some of them are under review or preparation): Study 1: Study Protocol Study 2: Diagnostic Evaluation Study 3: Effectiveness Evaluation Study 4: Process Evaluation
This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and only made possible thanks to the support of my supervisors Sonia Asun Dieste, Julien Bois, Léna Lhuisset & José Antonio Julián Clemente, the collaboration of #2PASS-4Health partners, #EFYPAF and #MEPS colleagues.
