Today’s recurrence of hunter-gatherer discourse just shows how much problem we have grasping numbers; in particular how low the population density of apex predators (even omnivorous ones) is.
I read the report this morning. I'll have more to say when I have time, but it is largely a series of unsubstantiated assertions, airing of grievances, and basic misreporting of data. But on this one issue, here are the actual median wages of graduates and non-graduates
so an interesting thing here is that the *very sharp* decline in recent years - which virtually every educator I know has remarked upon - seems to be *largely* a U.S. pattern rather than a European one. That to me suggests that we can't just blame the phones.
