many people who are the loudest have never even met the accused—just bandwagoning for the sake of it. nobody ever asks questions or engages in uncomfortable conversations anymore because it makes them feel bad. the pursuit of information is deemed taboo for the sake of fetishized comfort.
by all means we should remove harmful people from our spaces, but we can never unionize against the machine if we continue to do such exiles so blindly. "shoot first, ask questions later" is how we all end up 6 feet below fascist boots. they laugh at our inability to remain focused.
as much as i distanced myself from *that* incident, i think its entirely possible to discuss the risks of abuse and imbalance when someone confesses feelings you find questionable without crashing out as if theyre coercing ppl to have adult affairs without approval. but thats not clout-worthy is it?
pardon my vaguepost, but thats the most i feel comfortable saying at this time. this situation has taken a significant toll on my mental health and i may need to try to step away for a while and focus on what i can control while processing it all. please do not ask me for more info in the meantime.
the cosmic joke is that many people spreading this hatred have had their impressionability taken advantage of. all they're taught is to be scared of speaking and thinking of the taboo, at risk of being persecuted. this mentality spreads to action, perpetuating the cycle. social media rewards this.
its pretty obvious right now that the ethos of modern progressive movements is corroded since many still think coordinating and blindly joining an entire hate campaign based on distorted information is a valid form of activism in 2026. pride is still rife with conservative values & astroturfers.
shabadaba gooba like a meeboo (meeboo!)
the pursuit of validation in the wake of manufactured fear.
the fear of discovering the self. the fear of being deemed incompatible. the fear that was meant to bring us closer together but festers into parasite. a parasite that breeds distrust among like-minded people.
none of this was necessary.
