I talked to dozens of people today about pedestrianization and if the near universal excitement tells me anything, what will kill this pilot is the extremely pissed off parents who didn’t account for the pilot and picked their kids up by car from Church Street School.
Church Street Pedestrian Pilot is live. Volunteers are setting up flowers and street furniture. Tomfoolery and shenanigans abound.
Look at all the things present in this image. They are purposefully trying to give a certain kind of online chud an aneurysm.
This is why Bradford adding the staff early killswitch to this project is so toxic. School will soon be out and parents will adapt. But some early squeaky wheels could kill the whole thing.

Where I’m sending all my followers
As many of you know, I've been boosting two small businesses on Bathurst that have faced unique challenges this past year. While I was sad to share that Office closed a couple of weeks ago, the ink is now dry, and the good news is that Spirited Tarts will be taking their space!
All the people involved in these two businesses share a deep commitment to craft and community. I hoped my passing introduction would take root and grow into something good; I am so happy it did.
That said, the Office folks could still use support.
