Umpire Carlos Torres was the day's lowest rated umpire and missed 20 calls in the Braves Blue Jays game. 9 of those calls occurred in the 8th or 9th inning.
Umpire Lance Barrett gifted Yandy Diaz a second life on a pitch that should've been a called strike 3. A few pitches later, Diaz hit a 2 run HR to give the Rays a 3-2 lead in the 7th.
Umpire Alan Porter initially failed to recognize a Pirates challenge request. When Bill Murphy, complained, Porter pointed at Murphy, shouted, "get the fuck out of here", and ejected him. The next pitch, manager Don Kelly complained about a check swing call and Porter ejected him, too.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the 9th, umpire Ben May tried to gift the Reds a game tying walk on a pitch inside the zone. The Cardinals successfully challenged and won the game a pitch later.
