Racism is so embarrassing. Treating a group of people numbering in the millions as if they were all the same. It's like hating everyone named Jeff

Went to the Retro Computer Museum in Leicester intending to do some filming and spent most of the time chatting nostalgia with the guy who runs the place. As such, not much filming done, so here's a very short video of what I did film, plus some info about the place.

Fancy a quick look round the charity shops to see what we can find? Join me for this week's RetroSpectives video as we look for hidden retro treasures amongst the random vintage tat. On location in Chesham High Street, Buckinghamshire.
Bought a 24-pack of nappies from Tesco today. Wanted to Pamper myself.
Just over a week to go now until we can get into all that yummy chocolate, but if you've a hankering for something a little more .. 'vintage', check out my latest RetroSpectives video for a proper throwback to when chocolate WAS chocolate!
Looking for your comments again to feature in a video about Blue Peter, (specifically the Blue Peter annual from 1972 but all Blue Peter memories welcome.) All the details (and some pages from inside the book) are in the YouTube community post linked here.
Here's a good'un from the Lego Ideas website. Lego creation of the classic tin toy robot design, including moving mechanical parts. Reminds me of one I had around the age of six in the late 70s/early 80s. šŸ¤–šŸ¤—

Interesting looking 250 page book up for preorder about the history of Metroidvania games. Some of the images on the site show the book in French (heads-up) but it does appear to be an English language book. Maybe bear that in mind before committing. News source: retronews.com
Been whiling away some evening time on this deceptively simple dig/sell/upgrade game on android. Right up my alley as a fan of resource management games, and fair play to the dev - the "ads for extras" aspect is unobtrusive and entirely optional, not forced on us.

Interesting article on GadgetBond explores the emerging "flattening of thought" that's occurring as a result of mass-adoption of allowing AI Large Language Models like ChatGPT to think for us, and considers what it might mean for the future.
