Day 16 - A song that surprised you.
“Pearl of Glue” by Mikayla Geier is not a song most people would associate with my taste in music, but I stumbled upon her debut one Friday morning and was incredibly impressed.
And pleasantly surprised.
“In a story this complicated, where everyone from a little girl to a grown man from Boston is begging for their humanity, even Howard Stevens deserves some, too.”
People are complex puzzles with parts designed to not always fit, so there’s an incredibly thin, changing line between “us” and “them.”

“Only God Knows” by Young Fathers features the Leith Congregational Choir and was featured on the Trainspotting 2 soundtrack.
That’s where I first came across the Edinburgh trio’s music, and I’ve been a fan ever since.

Day 15 - A song that ends too soon.
Coming in at just 44 seconds, John Wesley Harding’s “Good Morning (I Just Woke Up)” definitely ends too soon. A full-length version simply called “I Just Woke Up” exists but doesn’t stream.
