#IsmuasMonthOfMusic šŸŽ¼ #MusicChallenge šŸŽ¶ Day 10 - A song that makes you want to travel the world. ā€œLondon is the Place for Meā€ by Lord Kitchener. My wife was a seasoned traveler while I grew up in a tourist trap of a town but rarely played tourist. Then we went to England. Now I love to travel.

This is as good a rejection letter as I could possibly get, I think. I’m very grateful for the kind words. Now if only I can find the right audience for the essay in question… #CNF #WritingCommunity
Today I came across a rampaging ā€œresistorā€ upset with people who challenged an unsourced claim he stated as fact. Two things: 1) No one was defending Trump. They were just challenging the integrity of your claim. Baseless assertions don’t get to be facts just because they fit your narrative.
That’s what Trump does. 2) Unless we build a platform around something other than hating Trump, we’ll be edging ever closer to him, only our version of ā€œMAGAā€ will be stitched on blue hats. It’s time to use our outrage to inspire more than contempt. We don’t need fake news. We need real plans.

#IsmuasMonthOfMusic šŸŽ¼ #MusicChallenge šŸŽ¶ Day 11 - A song about a love that changed you. ā€œThe Original of the Speciesā€ by U2 was a song I’d sing to my daughter when she was little toddling thing. She just earned a college degree, and she’s getting married soon. Being her dad made me a better human.
Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Nesting, birds carrying nesting material, and the alt theme is #Paridae, any of the species. I’m not positive this black-capped chickadee is going to use that fluffinstuff to pad out a nest, but this might just be a two-fer. #Birds 🪶

#IsmuasMonthOfMusic šŸŽ¼ #MusicChallenge šŸŽ¶ Day 9 - A song that sounds like a painting coming to life. I listened to this New Order song a lot when I aspired to be an abstract expressionist painter. I don’t paint anymore, but ā€œTemptationā€ still moves me to be creative. So ā€œUp. Down. Turn aroundā€¦ā€

Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #TheGathering, images showing flocks, colonies, or communal behavior. The alt is #LivingLandscape, a single bird as part of a wider natural scene. This red- winged blackbird seems to have settled into a Van Gogh painting. #Birds🪶
Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is celebrating #WorldOceansDay so any sea or river bird. The alt is #GardenFavourites, birds you love to see in your garden. Here’s thirty seconds of iPhone footage showing (I think) semipalmated plovers and semipalmated sandpipers bopping around the beach. #Birds🪶
Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Geese and the alt theme is #Robins. So here’s a Canada goose and an American robin doing things geese and robins do. #Birds 🪶
