It's bad enough that he crashed into a car but this is an intersection that has a lot of pedestrian and bicycle traffic and this could have been much worse.
Distracted drivers are a fucking menace and if you're one of them I am in fact scolding you and telling you to change your ways.
And for those who have lost a father, had a difficult or painful relationship with one, or for whom this day carries a lot of weight, I hope that weight sits on you lightly today.
On my way to Fresh Pond this morning a driver ran the red light at Western Avenue and Memorial Drive and plowed into another car right as I was approaching the intersection. Fortunately no one was hurt - I stopped to call 911, then to leave my contact information with the woman whose car was hit.

From what I gathered from other bystanders the driver who ran the red was looking at a map while driving. From what I saw with my own two eyes, he was going over the speed limit and not looking where he was going at all.
