can someone do a thinkpiece about how the early voice recognition assistants had female names ("alexa," "siri," "cortana") and now that they're supposed to be good at coding and thinking and autonomy and shit, they're male ("claude," "rufus") it's not a large sample, but i haven't *not* noticed

trying to decide between pitched boops and a more neutral percussive click. normally I am anti-pitched click tracks but this piece is pretty firmly in 1 key throughout
I feel like this is yet another instance of 1) a group of people are under threat 2) the people truly responsible for the threat are out of reach 3) some of the threatened people end up lashing out at the nearest available target to feel a little less powerless
