can someone do a thinkpiece about how the early voice recognition assistants had female names ("alexa," "siri," "cortana") and now that they're supposed to be good at coding and thinking and autonomy and shit, they're male ("claude," "rufus")
it's not a large sample, but i haven't *not* noticed
just leave me alone with my tiny machines
what's your favorite click track sound
tempted to have the click follow some of the important chord changes but that could be distracting
when u commission music from me
if you put cream cheese on a bagel you can have cream cheese anytime
It is not a good thing but it is a thing I am sympathetic to and my impulse is to extend people some grace when everyone's nerves are frayed

I feel like this is yet another instance of
1) a group of people are under threat
2) the people truly responsible for the threat are out of reach
3) some of the threatened people end up lashing out at the nearest available target to feel a little less powerless
