I have to say, listening to the Today programme dedicate an entire (context free) section about whether migrants are more likely to be convicted criminals *the morning after* hundreds of non-migrants of my own ethnicity committed a pogrom is blood boiling.
For the hundredth time. These are not "patriots". They are conspiring with our enemies to destroy this country and need to be treated accordingly
Everyone on X and elsewhere who called for a violent response should be charged with incitement.
Everyone involved in the pogrom should be locked up with exemplary sentences.
Govt should make it clear that will be the response in future anywhere else.
Enough.
An impartial journalist might contextualise the Belfast knife attack with *evidence*: 282 knife offences every day on average & foreign born nationals under-represented in violent crime. Chris Mason spoke instead of right wing *narratives* of migrants, borders & crime.

Condemning riots isn't enough. We need policy action, including an immediate appraisal of X as a vehicle for coordinating far-right disorder. And we need political leadership, to challenge white nationalism as an idea, not to validate it daily and then complain when it turns violent.
I don't know how Keir Starmer can wake up in the morning, see that pogroms have been taking place under his watch, that they are being fuelled by literal illegal activity on social media, and not make it his entire purpose to stop it. We know you're no politician, but are you not a lawyer?
