For the past year and a half, Traci Park has been telling CD11 constituents that the Venice Dell affordable housing project is “dead.” Well guess what? As of this past week it’s clear that the project is not dead and it never was. Traci has been lying.
Everyone who has shown up is united by belief in a people-powered vision: realizing the potential of LA’s City Attorney to show up for working people, immigrants, renters, everyone in our city.
The results are still early, but Angelenos sent a clear message in yesterday’s primary that they’re ready for a change, and for a City Attorney that fights for the people.
This—the support at the polls, unseating a current incumbent—was possible because of the people power behind this campaign.
So, if you can see or smell the smoke from the warehouse fire in Boyle Heights, document.
The more we know about how our communities are being impacted by this emergency, the more we have to go after any responsible actors.
Whatever the final outcome, I know this coalition is ready for the work ahead to build a City Attorney’s office we all deserve.
