Surveying the wonderful Upwood Meadows NNR at the weekend - very excited to refind Heath-grass, last recorded from the site by renowned botanist Terry Wells in 1996! Other highlights were sheets of Saw-wort and Dropwort, and several areas of Sulphur Clover @bsbibotany.bsky.social #wildflowerhour

walked a little bit further than I planned today, and may have lost the path for a little bit... but well worth the extra steps when I bumped into this beautiful Asp #oof #lifer #WildlifeTravelling in the #Pyrenees
a handful of highlights of a few days in the Spanish Pyrenees, giving our Aragon itinerary a bit of a refresh, 14 years since I was last here... Pyrenean Iris, Alpine Marmot, Pyrenean Honeysuckle and Spanish Fritillary so far, so fab #WildlifeTravelling in the #Pyrenees
this year's spring visit to Estonia is coming to an atmospheric end last night our group headed out onto the bogs of Soomaa, where lekking Great Snipe bounced and a Lynx casually sauntered across the track... #WildlifeTravelling at it's best

Blaming a 4am start to the day, I should of course have written Military Orchid Orchis militaris!!
A very hot field trip with the Lincs Flora Group to Swinstead Valley yesterday - some great limestone grassland with Purple Milk-vetch, Horseshoe Vetch and Crested Hair-grass, plus a strong population of Stinking Chamomile in an arable field headland... #wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social
