I have survived on pretty much it alone for the last decade. Pretty proud of myself for managing that. I'm also not rich now by any means. Still scraping by, but it's slightly less urgent now I'm kinda Doing a Bunch of Things for a Bunch of Different People. Whatever pays, really.

I dunno, I work hard. I work a lot. I still struggle to get by. But I've also done my damnedest to ensure it's all creative work. I wake up and I make things or help people make things. Genuinely all I could really want from life.

I get asked a lot about how to make YouTube a job. I see people aspire to it. I also know a lot of people who become miserable when they get there. You really have to get right with yourself first. Be ok with making things for no one. Expect zero. Enjoy obscurity. Everything else becomes a bonus.
If anything it's really helping with motivation for the channel. Leaning super hard into big, meaty projects, and crucially I'm just living a whole lot of life—absolutely *vital* for interesting writing. I'm so excited for what I've got coming, and I'm super thankful for your continued support.
