On the other hand however it used lot of fantastical ideas I'd built up over time while slowly doing world building, which means that while I want to bring what inspired me to bear on my story I run into this constant feeling of imposter syndrome and feeling like I'm not doing something original.
I read a book series earlier this year, and it's been both a blessing and a curse- on one hand it was a really good series that connected with a lot of fantasies I enjoy, and it also opened my eyes to ways around some of the major roadblocks I'd had in wanting to write for a while now.
Was a bit frustrated yesterday, but I decided to work on what I was looking at regardless and ended up chatting with a couple people; I still have that frustration but I also made progress regardless on my own stuff after that chat.
