I've used The GIMP in the past, especially when using Linux on a laptop. It's "Free & Open Source" software, and did have a Windows version last I saw of it. I don't edit much these days, I direct my energy to capturing the image I want in the camera, as much as possible.
It certainly contributes a high degree of clarity to the photos.
Very nice photo! I looked at Venus & Jupiter, then decided against trying to capture them as I'd already spent an hour or more on some "experimental" photography ... 😝
I'll often end up standing in the middle of the street, just to avoid powerlines when taking a photo. It's nice to know there are other "dodges"! 🙄
I'm confused: I thought he had been unable to re-register "United Australia Party"?
In any event, just got mine out of my letterbox and managed to tear it into 8 parts & drop it in the bin. 🤢
I remember in the early days of NBN, Kabra, a small town near here got a radio tower built in the middle of town, and every home got a small "horn" antennae (looks like a megaphone) installed and pointed at the tower. It was a marvel for the ages! They all got great broadband. 1/2 ...
I totally get that, and appreciate your sympathy: my first name is actually Donald. *sigh* 😖
2/2 ... Remembering back to dialup days, Telstra's definition of "adequate coverage" was enough connection to make a phone call, and data at about 19 kb/second even if you had a modem capable of 54 kb/sec. I reckon you should have a long & loud whinge to your local Federal member!
@coffeedave.bsky.social This was my photographic experiment a couple of days ago: I (re)found a mobile phone "clip-on lens kit" I bought something like a decade ago, & decided to give it a go with my current phone. Results weren't great, but it was an amusing hour or so. #photography
