Spent alll day yesterday trying to come up with a new thumbnail to follow. I think we might be getting somewhere. Itβs very different from my original plan. The thumbnail has also basically reached the point where itβs a completed piece thatβs just messily finished π€‘ What a challenge.
Starting the Qifrey piece over again after 45 hours/ months of fiddling π¬. Iβm trying to look at this as an overwhelmingly positive thing but itβs also a big bummer. It started off so strong. Ah well. Hoping I can find a better way forward with a more solid direction.
and then I started to get too heavy with shadows, which is another common problem I face. I just really enjoy drawing certain lines and adding layers of color to the point where I go too far π . In β¨good newsβ¨, the final lines I did for Qifrey himself are salvageable..
thanks to the benefit of putting everything on its own layer. And despite my problem here being that I added too much, I really enjoy 2 of the additions & hopefully theyβll be coming along in the new version. Weβll see.
I might just lightly complain/process here for my own future benefit. Watching the Timelapse back to see if I can figure out where things started to get out of control & I think I started to add too many lines that then crowded Qifrey. There was a point where it looked semi harmonious w/ color
