I remember being given this to read in Year 8. It seemed from another time but today, it’s very appropriate.
Sensible stuff requires a certain level of intellectual power or willingness to engage. Sadly lacking in so many today.
Their level of confidence that they are correct is only outpaced by their obvious ignorance.
I used to collect signs that were funny, clever or badly spelt. Couldn’t resist photographing this one on a recent trip to country Queensland.
I used to love teaching Bush Mechanics as part of a documentary unit. Students loved it and the series was a good way to depict magic realism. Somewhere I still have the DVD … I think.
The Voice to Parliament referendum gave us a depressingly clear idea of how many such people there are in Australia. I fear for what the next federal election will reveal.
Oh, I dunno: 61 years of being a supporter, I suppose!
Just finished ‘The Revenge Club’ on Britbox, so need something else now. Will check it out.
