Usually when a trans person dies (or "dies") at the end of a story it feels cheap and insulting. But if Jax had been pulled from abstraction at the end that would have been cheaper.
I guess that's what trans people writing trans stories is about.
If Jax had apologised to Ragatha she would have accepted it, but the abuse would have eaten at her heart and she would have been the next to abstract.
