I left TikTok a long time ago for a pretty good reason. Because all it’s used for is to spread misinformation and false news. Heck, that’s all social media is good for these days. People really have to stop believing everything that’s being posted on social media.
Yeah, this is a new scam
They ask if you want to watch some anime then send you a "link" to some site that actually steals your stuff
they aren't walking back on things, if you read Discord's official announcement instead of 3rd party reportings on it this is already exactly what it sais.
A bunch of news side just blow it up to make headlines
I believe this phishing scam progresses via having the victim join some weird random watch party site, and then I think it's the usual token stealer shenanigans? It'd be really good if there were a cohesive catalogue of these discord scams somewhere =w=;
New potential discord phishing scam going around. Heads up.
Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)
All because everyone on discord is moving to stoat because of what discord is doing.
