Our paper on generalized dynamic phylogenetic models is finally out in MEE 🥳 The brainchild of @err-ring.bsky.social, GDPMs open up a vast new space for comparative studies on complex, coevolving traits, greatly aided by @scottclaessens.bsky.social's work on the accompanying R package. Check it out!
And big thanks to @jsmartin.bsky.social and @jaeggiadrian.bsky.social for sticking around on the long haul to get this paper out!

Oxytocin varies across the lifecourse in a sex-specific way - new paper in @pnas.org working with Tsimane communities. For women, OT looks like a sex hormone and is linked to breastfeeding and childcare. For men, probably more related to health and aging. www.linkedin.com/posts/uzh-me...

I always had the vague feeling that Scientific Reports and Nature Communications are mainly APC business models. A paper estimated the total APC for gold/hybrid Open Access per journal 2015–2018: doi.org/10.1162/qss_... Surprise, surprise - there are 2 outliers at the top😐
Next steps are to look at individual differences (repeatability) in #oxytocin levels and how they relate to life history and personality traits. Watch this space!
