Keep seeing the point that Trump’s nominations mean he plans to destroy these departments and agencies. That’s true for some, but most he plans to weaponize. It’s an important distinction.
Biden should issue a preemptive pardon to himself for any harm he might do to Trump prior to inauguration. Yeah, I know. But just to fuck with him a little.

A wonderful opportunity to reflect on the exploratory journey we shared with our teams over the past two decades– discovering how the beautiful light-gated channels from microbes work, finding new channels, and creating new ones too. I'm thankful for my wonderful colleagues, over the many years.

The picture was sent to me by Peter Hegemann, who was one of Dieter’s trainees many years ago. It shows the Winged Victory (Nike) of Samothrace, located in the Aula of the Technical University in Berlin, and donated from the French Embassy to represent the unity of international science.
