This is such an excellent video, in large part because Howie actually gives concrete examples of different versions. And guess what? We have different things that might be called Discovery Learning, and some seem like a huge waste of time, and others seem fantastic.

As with all things, there are infinitely many contributing conditions. It's clear that #MTBoS magic hasn't been recreated anywhere. Whether personal/global circumstances, career changes of many #MTBoS veterns, or subtle shifts in why people use social media. So: How do we make new magic? #iTeachMath

So how do I find my dashboard of recent @desmos activities?
Students seem to be sent every which way now that Amplify has added a layer of administration.
Has anyone built a math practice app where every answer is 6, 7, or 67 yet?
Also, kids just get lost in some Amplify dashboard with no option to enter code for activity.
There’s probably a simple fix here…

Visual Patterns 🤝 Pattern Blocks
I am currently OBSESSED, in a (mostly) healthy way, with @fawnnguyen.substack.com visual patterns and @mathforlove.bsky.social pattern blocks for kids to learn and create patterns. Ah-may-zing. Also, I am in LOVE with Mary Vail's Thinking Desks, they are phenomenal!
