Posdoc openings in my lab to investigate tau amyloid formation!
We have several positions to study tau LLPS and amyloid formation from different aspects.
You need a PhD and a keen interest in biophysical methods such NMR, EPR and cryoEM.

It was really good to host the French EPR society meeting in Bordeaux at @iecb.bsky.social
A few more days to apply for postdoctoral positions in my group. We investigate :
- tau amyloid formation at a molecular level
- tau LLPS
- tau-spliceosome interaction in tauopathies.

Finally done with this HDR! It is an odd requirement to do yet another defense to prove yourself worthy of leading research 🙂. It anyways was a nice get together. Thanks to the colleagues and friends that were part of the jury.
Indeed, we are looking of a PhD student at the interface between chemistry, biophysics and biology to work on light induced LLPS. join us at @iecb.bsky.social in Bordeaux !
The tau protein might be the most complex and fascinating amyloid forming protein.
It is particularly complicated to make tau amyloid in vitro.
In this perspective, we discuss the current challenges to make tau amyloids that are relevant to tauopathies.

The Fichou Lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients af....
