really really urging online artists, especially the younger ones, to learn that you don't avoid OR solve conflict by deciding talking about it is off limits and bullying people that try to speak up. when everything's built on eggshells it just manufactures drama that didn't need to be there
not to mention a few folks treating me like some kind of villain for the crime of not giving my complete trust to a group of people i don't even know lol
still taking a break from it this year and playin it by ear next year. but i swear man. nothing makes me lean anti-social like other artists
torn between dream (a furry artist would have designed this way better) and reality (someone has definitely jerked it to this thing)
it's that time of the year where somebody breaks down how gg strive makes their models and i go "i wanna do that" so i inevitably start on a model that i will not finish because some part of the process will stump me even with all the help demystifying it
finally got a chance to play tomodachi life and put some of my goobers in. turned it off over night. come back to see that, true to form, trion managed to burn bridges with like three people.
10/10 game no notes
so i'm glad to hear that art fight walked back those ridiculous rules about using 3D and photo ref but i'm gonna be completely honest... still pretty turned off by the community and how they handled the situation
while the actual amount of people who were pushing for the no ref thing wound up being a very vocal minority, my experience was dealing with folks who wanted to totally shut down discussion from anyone who wasn't no lifeing the chats the first 12 hours the news dropped because they were bored of it
still don't know what i'm doing but i feel like i don't know what i'm doing a little less than before
