Oh, I've listened to lots of podcasts and non-fiction audiobooks, but they always felt more like being in a lecture (which I love).
I always found my mind wandering when I've tried fiction in the past. Turns out all you need is a great narrator!
When I say all the authors at the Orbit bookseller party looked (and just generally were all round) amazing, I really mean it!
There was an almost dizzying amount of writing talent on the rooftop last night ππ
Believe it or not, Mortedant's Peril is the first novel I'm reading as an audiobook, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Seems I picked a really good one to try the format with!
(The narrator really does do a fantastic job, just so perfect for how I imagined the main character!)

@joeeyre.bsky.social did a wonderful job on my book, too, so absolutely thrilled to see him winning an award along with RJ. Definitely deserving of the recognition! Go check out some of the books he's voice-acted!
