My 2 cents, if I was already buying the deluxe edition "pay it early" doesn't matter. Forza is a great example, I'm always going to get all the dlc, so I might as well get it all at once, them tossing in x days is a bonus that doesn't factor into the cost befit analysis, I want all the other stuff.
