New paper published today based on data collected during a field course in Colombia, we studied bee communities across 3000m elevational gradient in the Andes, very strong results, it has been such a delight to work with great students on this project! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
Fuzzy wuzzy bear of a bee, Epimellisodes (formerly Svastra) obliqua. Seen at Wylde center while walking the dog - I’m impressed by what the bare iPhone camera can do with a cooperative subject in good light. #bees #flyday #bugsky
Oh yeah I always spell Melissodes wrong, it’s kind of my thing.
I’ve been transferring the stock holdings in my retirement account to all foreign, small-cap and mid-cap funds to get away from TSLA, AMZN and the rest, so I think I am clear. Certainly there are odious companies in these funds but at least they don’t have the size to distort the govt and economy.
