"CT-7567, reporting for duty, sir."
"It happens," he shrugged. "We were bred to be out there, after all. That out there is home; 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 is a battlefield."
Rex gestured to the goings-on in the room. Just clones marching to where they need to be; clones seated, chatting; clones lining up. It was quiet, dare he say unsettling at times.
“Might be remembering a bit too far back then.” His chuckle sent his shoulders into a mild quake.
“Still I… can’t say I don’t miss it. Being wide-eyed. Being naive.”
“So ordered,” he said, taking the proposed seat. For the first time since the day started, his whole weight had finally been lifted from his legs.
Rex visibly sighed in relief. He looked yonder, deep in thought.
“You remember looking that young?”
“It almost feels too long already,” he remarked with a salute of equal form and stature.
“Do I need a clearance code for this seat or is it free to take?” He eyed the seat opposite of the esteemed Captain.
"You too, eh?" He parked his helmet beside that of Captain Keeli's on the table.
