A huge success and a testament to the principled, dedicated, generous campaigning and activism of the wonderful @stopoxevision.bsky.social team
That’s 10 Trusts that have now stopped using Oxevision!
A huge win for our campaign and the privacy and dignity of patients everywhere
After new information through FOI that yet another Trust has stopped using Oxevision, we can now reveal that just 19 out of the 50 mental health Trusts are still using the system - well below the 50% that Oxehealth (now LIO) once boasted!
This press release summarises the request for investigation made to the ICO. It does not report any findings by the ICO or any court.
Bindmans have made written submissions to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on behalf of Hat Porter and Stop Oxevision outlining serious data protection concerns regarding Oxevision use in patient bedrooms

So grim.
'Opt out consent'
As @stopoxevision.bsky.social say, surveillance is not safety.
We were told our data would stay under NHS control. But an internal document just revealed the truth: Palantir staff are being granted “unlimited access”.

“We assert that consent is not complex or challenging and that it is not appropriate or lawful to film individuals in their bedrooms and share video footage with an external company” 🔥

"Surprisingly, Dewa et al. actively recommend a trial of Oxevision that replaces in person checks – which even the manufacturers state the technology should not be used for [8]. We suggest this conclusion is both unsupported by the data and potentially harmful."
