honestly the only reason it did so well was cause it banked on nostalgia. they brought back Sidney--they "brought back" Stu (and don't even get me started on the way they did that).
It was kinda entertaining but overall an utter disappointment as far as a Scream title. Like Scream 3 bad.
idk it just feels like a lot of assumptions when we don't really know... the behind the scenes.

slop as a term has devolved from meaning "low quality and mass produced" to "thing I (user of term) don't like" and that sucks because overuse like that makes words lose any weight they had behind them
