30k words is a novella. Famous novellas (novellae?) include The Great Gatsby, Animal Farm, Of Mice and Men and The Metamorphosis. Unfamous novellas include Lavender Hill, which I've just finished #writing. It's part 1 of a fantasy series
Good books. Worthwhile reading for authors and would be writers alike
