🤔 What if the cracks, repairs and weathering are the very things that make a place beautiful?
Louth in Lincolnshire gave me the answer.

📷 Taken with the tilt shift lens: The magnificent Romanesque nave at Norwich Cathedral is crowned with a later vaulted ceiling that has one of the most remarkable series of bosses depicting scenes from creation to the last judgement.
Layers of history: All Saints', Hough-on-the-Hill, Lincolnshire has a late Saxon circular stair turret. Much of the lower fabric of the tower is also Saxon. The church is embraced by earthworks from a Norman motte and bailey castle.

Ripon Cathedral is a permeated by the most delightful combination of accumulated openings - so much so that the light show at certain times is spectacular 📸 is mine.
