Oof, don't do this. It's dehumanizing af. Giving the unhoused your half eaten leftovers is not an act of kindness. Money they can use however they need to is more helpful and respectful of the fact that these are human beings. And no, you don't get to know or judge what they use the money for.

I've been handed food that's already expired. They don't think poor people deserve to have good food. When I was on the street, a woman handed me the rest of her sandwich with big bites taken out of it, and her and her husband tried to make me feel bad for criticizing them.

Just like when ppl donate near expired food then act like that's remedying starvation. Meanwhile poor ppl get hpylori and that leads to more chronic illness.
