Turning the White House South Lawn into a UFC venue is a historic low for presidential decorum, but watching the whole spectacle get derailed by a biblical combination of 100+ degree humidity, apocalyptic thunderstorms, and massive swarms of bugs would definitely be poetic justice.
It's a white trash fantasy for the whitest trash around.
There's more on this in my piece for the New Statesman this week, who I'll once more thank for letting me go through this entire cesspit at greater length. bsky.app/profile/seam...
This is nuts. Yes we need better protections online, but this is a massive overreach by Starmer. For many young people, especially marginalised ones such as trans and neurodivergent, online spaces can be a safe place for them to develop a genuine support community www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...
A crucial issue: deregulation by stealth, which could expose us to a greater range of hazardous chemicals than the EU permits, contrary to government promises. We at Fighting Dirty are suing. We need your help. Please see crowdfunder in next post. Thank you 🧵 www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I owe President Obama my life! Without his #ACA, I would have died and my husband bankrupt due to getting cancer mid-year. His #ACA eliminated the pre-existing condition clause. I was one of the 10 letters and have his letter. I couldn’t appreciate anyone more on #ObamaAppreciationDay! #Pinks 💖

Quick🧵 There seems to be a formula now: 1. Random event occurs which local far-right try to exploit & politicians exploit 2. Local far-right calls for riot 3. Musk amplifies calls for riot to his huge global following, a tiny fraction of which are capable of being involved...
