The expression I dislike most on people’s faces is that evaluative, critical smile when you’re selling them something or offering your work, like “It’s nice, but no thanks,” or “Yes, you did your job, I won’t deny that, but it wasn’t what we wanted.”
Let them show us how it’s done best.
