Calylophus hartwegii, got mine from High Country Gardens, but they’ve discontinued it. Definitely an aggressive reseeder, but gorgeous when it pops.
What a writer thinks ISN’T political is always a huge tell. Even something as straightforwardly man vs nature as To Build A Fire is about toxic masculinityβ€”β€œAny man who was a man could travel alone.”
Long day, but on the bright side, finally ID’d a plant that popped up all over one bed that was stumping both me and Native Plant Guy. It was only in one bed and he said it didn’t feel like a weed. It was a native sundrop! I planted one last year, thought it had died, but it had reseeded like whoa.
This is called β€œstrategic defeat.” You have ended up in a worse position than before you began, with your adversary, while battered, emerging in a stronger position than before.
