We also need affordable childcare and spaces and places for parents and guardians to get some respite rather than just putting a screen in front of kids for hours on end to get some peace.

What we need is social media literacy starting with parents & working their way down. We need more 3rd spaces. We need investments in community. We need addiction services for all - even youth

I'm the first generation of my family to never work in the mines. My elders might reminisce about the days of a good union job and the community that comes with that, but they would never glamourize the actual work nor ignore how it killed their bodies and the environment of their hometown.
