Rough design for Echidna. Ecchi is Babs’ former Carnivora co-star. She likes romance novels and listening to her lizard brain. She envied Babs during their joint stint at Carnivora, but they became proper friends after Babs retired. She also eventually quit Carnivora to pursue a career in poetry.

so the weird quirky sci-fi game about artificial intelligences going rampant and evolving strangely due to an anomaly has itself developed a weird ghost in the machine style quirk where a replicated system is displaying anomalous behaviour, that's actually really cool and strangely fitting

Digging around on Internet Archive and found a Japanese tv show from 1997 about Race Queens. The actual show itself is just an interview variety talk show thing but the intro is absolutely fantastic, the camera nostalgia is so strong.
