I replied to an older worker that it would be helpful to have someone help load the car. The young man asked, “Would you be okay with me being the one to help?” Again, I’ve never heard it worded so gallantly.

Very striking to hear that these were loyalist riots (centered around Shankill Rd.) Because the [British] loyalist paramilitary Shankill-based gang known as the "Shankill Butchers" kidnapped & slaughtered over 20 people, from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.
What do lobsters have in common with grasshoppers? It's in the name. "Lobster" derives from Old English 'lopustre', which itself is a corruption of the Latin 'locusta', which means both "locust/grasshopper" and also "marine shellfish". So lobsters are named for the Latin for 'sea grasshopper.'
