As Naval Academy plebes we all had to memorize and recite a MOH citation. Mine, USMC Lt. Baldomero Lopez '47, raided a bunker at Incheon and was shot in the chest, forcing a grenade from his hand. He pulled it under himself to take the blast and save his platoon.
