Cracker was being an adorable ratty pancake during last nights free-range time - I really adore this girl, she's everything I love about rats and has what I consider to be the perfect temperament (smart, curious, and motivated, plus also very social, confident, and sweet!)
Chickpea is learning to combine walking on a rolling barrel with fetch! This trick can be a bit tricky for rats to grasp at first - Chickpea isn't quite 100% sure of the idea yet lol, but she's getting close!

My sweet Jellybean is gone 💔 After months fighting a brain tumor, she developed a zymbals gland tumor a few days back (untreatable 🙁) and the kindest thing was to let her go. Goodbye my little spitfire, you were an incredible rat! 💗

Proof that hairless rats are the most judgmental rats! This was Tofu, my late hairless girl, and she was by far one of the most judgmental rats I’ve known. I hope everyday that Tofu is not the one judging us after we die, because I’m pretty sure no one would pass her strict standards! 😈😅
Here was Mocha doing her version of the flyball shopping trick! Mocha was so quick to pick up fetch tricks, and she did such a great job with flyball in particular - great job Mocha!

This week’s paw paintings by my sweet rats Crumb and Feta - them and all their buddies did an amazing job!

Spice working on fetching from a drawer! Spice was a skittish rat so any training with her had to very much go at her pace - but seeing her gain confidence as she learned tricks made it worth it!

Here Bean was showing off her weave-walking trick! Also combined with her basketball trick in the first clip. Bean did a great job!

So I started teaching Crumb how to bowl, and one of the unintended side effects has been her becoming OBSESSED with the mini bowling pins! Anytime I leave them out now she will go and stash each and every one, even trying to stash the marble "ball" (that one without much success 😅).
Feta and Chickpea were being so dang CUTE during free-range! Unfortunately I had to put them back after this, but they (and Pumpkin Seed) were snuggling in the cutest way possible!
