One crucial point: my son is in 🇬🇧 and learned “pants” refers to underpants and the word for ACTUAL pants is “trousers”.
Not knowing this can lead, as my son found out, to some embarrassing convos.

A story told by my lovely old neighbour:
The reason he watches over his old, rather rickety cat when he’s in the yard is that the cat thinks he’s a warrior and chases foxes.
He saved this cat when he was thrown out of a moving car as a kitten.
Proving people are wonderful and also horrible.
No American should support the invasion of Canada because only an invasion will force us to give up our country: the 7 - 10% who want Canada to become an American state and the 15 % who would convert Canada into a U.S. territory are reprehensible.
