And yes, it’s still a very rough draft of “fighting games on a spaceship,” but I see the angel in the marble. I’m more excited than anything else. I can fix the mess later. I can feel the beating heart of it now.
I’m up almost 1,500 words in the draft tonight while typing with only 4 fingers on the left. Nobody tell the universe… but it’s gonna take a lot more than a trigger finger to stop me from telling this story.
Seems like I have full mobility in the trigger finger again. and it hurts more in the splint than just letting it go, so tentatively trying to type normally again. Still staying off video games for a bit longer to be cautious.
The trigger finger is steadily improving, so I was planning to start the CB video… but I caught some kind of bug. While the stomach upset seems to have stopped, my voice is two octaves deeper than it should be, while answering phones all day for work. I might be cursed.
The draft broke 45K words, and I just tied up Act I in its entirety. With my left middle finger still in a splint, to boot. LET’S GOOOOOOO!!! 🎉
