Idk man, I feel if the UK government truly wanted to protect kids, they would have prosecuted all the pedophiles of Epstein island before they banned under 16s from social media. Seems sus to do one and not the other.
Many social media platforms are run by tech billionaires who profit from cultivating racism, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, etc. The political desire to exclude entire groups of people for βtheir safetyβ rather than hold the moguls accountable and ensure platforms are safer is pathetic.
