I’d be surprised if nationalists (esp at a political level) have anything to do with ‘anti-immigration protests’, a relatively silent vigil for the victim might be a different matter? Apart from racist thuggery, the broader issue here links to loyalist sense of demographic decline in urban areas.

It is my understanding that, on Tuesday, there was an initial call for protests across both major communities. However, nationalists appeared to have stepped back. Duncairn Ave, nr junctions of Cliftonville/Antrim/New Lodge Rds, is neither one ‘territory’ nor another.
