Apparently in Total Recall (1990) the very end of the film was meant to be a clue as to the fate of the protagonist.

The Vogon constructor fleet sounds so large and overhead it never sounded that great before and watched the movie originally at the theater!
I think the TV show was probably remixed for the Blu-ray physical release and they did a great job.
Which is kinda a good thing because it fueled a lot of fandom discussion and speculation leaving it relatively ambiguous.
