Fascinating evening lecture yesterday by Stephen Menzie from Cornell Labs on the development of the Merlin App. The Merlin App has significantly influenced birdwatching among the general public worldwide, and it was amazing to hear insights directly from one of the team #ukbirding
Many thanks Nick for our early morning trip over Lodge Hill escarpment and its surrounding farmland, some of which has been supported through the BBC winter bird feeding and also through our members engaging with Nick’s Project 👉 www.chilterns.org.uk/flagship-pro... #ukbirding
Lesser Scaup still present at College Lake today.
This weekend is the Big Bucks Bird Weekend. The idea is for everyone to get out and about, or watch their gardens and record all sightings into www.goingbirding.co.uk/bucks/submit... So please do get birding and let's see what we can do. Looking forward to a bumper weekend of birds ! #ukbirding
Another excellent club field trip this weekend, this time to RSPB Frieston and Frampton. 91 species 10 hours 18000 steps Many thanks to Bucks legend and now local expert Simon Nichols for the guided walk, and to RSPB Frampton for your warm hospitality and fabulous food.
