It can often be difficult to get reviews of edited volumes. I'm therefore very grateful to Michael Epkenhans for this thoughtful review of my edited volume, The Franco-Prussian War. Turning-Points in European Experiences and Perceptions of Military Conflict. www.hsozkult.de/publicationr...
The book sprang from a conference that I organised to mark the 150th anniversary of the Franco-Prussian War. The Covid lockdown meant that it had to pivot to being online. As a result, the range of speakers and attendees was much wider and more international than would otherwise have been the case.
