The book sprang from a conference that I organised to mark the 150th anniversary of the Franco-Prussian War. The Covid lockdown meant that it had to pivot to being online. As a result, the range of speakers and attendees was much wider and more international than would otherwise have been the case.
Interesting graphic on the longevity of France's Prime Ministers under the Fifth Republic. Pompidou comes out top at 2279 days!
